Will my body stop sweating altogether? Is that harmful?
No. Only the glands in the treated area are blocked—relative to the whole body surface that area is small, and thermoregulation is preserved. With a correctly calculated dose, compensatory sweating in other areas does not occur.
How long does the effect last?
Usually 6–12 months in the underarm area; on palms and feet, as a rule, less. The duration depends on the area, the dose and how active your glands are. When it wears off, sweating returns to its previous level—it does not get worse than it was.

When sweating is a symptom, not a job for aesthetic medicine
If the sweating started suddenly, affects the whole body, wakes you at night, or comes with weight loss and fever—that is a reason to be examined first rather than injected. This kind of hyperhidrosis is called secondary, and it can be a sign of endocrine, infectious and other conditions.
