Does it hurt?
The Capello diode laser runs three cooling circuits and brings skin temperature down to −10 °C during the pulse itself, so most patients describe the sensation as warm tingling. Before the course your doctor fires a test pulse, so you know how it feels in advance.
How many sessions do I need?
Hair grows in cycles and the laser only acts on active follicles—which is why hair removal always runs as a course. The exact number and the intervals depend on the area, your hormonal background and your hair type; your doctor calculates them at the consultation. We will not prescribe a course blind.
Is it right for my skin type?
The pulse width is adjustable across a 2–100 ms range, and the 808 nm wavelength is absorbed by melanin inside the follicle without damaging the skin around it. That lets us work with most skin types. The final decision is your doctor’s, after examining you.
How do I prepare?
Before the treatment, do not remove hair at the root—no waxing or sugaring: the laser works through the root, and it has to stay in place. Shaving the area is fine. It is better to avoid sun exposure and self-tanner. Your doctor will give you exact guidance for your area at the consultation.
